Using Ink ILLUSTRATION PENS for the First Time!

by - January 23, 2018

Every artist loves utensils for creating -- brushes, pens, pencils, etc. And being a bit of a pen addict myself, opening up a packet of illustration pens for Christmas was a dream. I've fallen in love with my new Pentalic pens! The sizes go from 0.05 to full-size brush -- 5 pens total.

I suggest getting pen brushes if you love calligraphy. Oh my goodness are they worth it. The feel is addictive, it glides so well on the paper and effortlessly forms letters that flow. can't wait to ask for these next Christmas...right?

One of my favorite ways to waste time in watercolors or ink is creating different fonts. From uneven sides to shadowing and highlighting, it's so much fun watching how lettering will turn out from start to finish. I can't wait to see how these pens are going to compliment watercolors.

Cons: hmmm. None, honestly. Perfect package thick-to-thin. Good price.
Pros: Quality, great price on Amazon (on sale right now for $7.99). Pen tip size for any need. Really, I love these pens; they are perfection.

I mean, we're artists, right? Anything ink that flows already has half our vote. Can't wait to share more pictures soon...in watercolor.

Let's talk!

Do you have a favorite art utensil/tool?
